Philhealth to members: Pay premium before June 30
PHILHEALTH Regional Office (PRO) 11 expects members to swarm its office for the next couple of weeks for the deadline of premium payment this month. Thus, PRO 11 urges members under the informal sector, which includes voluntary-paying and self-employed individuals, to remit their contribution for the second quarter of the year, covering April to June, before the deadline on June 30.
In anticipation of the high volume of foot traffic, services will be extended to the transacting public in various PhilHealth Express centers and distant barangays. Regular payment desk is also scheduled inside Abreeza Mall, 2nd floor, on June 28 and 29, from 10am to 5pm.
Members are encouraged to pay premiums ahead of time to avoid any inconvenience.
They may also opt to make the payments at nearest accredited payment centers and collecting banks.
Established to administer the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) and provide quality health care services to Filipinos, one of Philhealth’s thrusts is to sustain membership and collection of premium.
To guarantee continuous availment of benefits, members must be keen in paying their premiums as this is a major requirement during benefits availment.
On October 2018, PhilHealth will fully implement the 9/12 month rule, which requires members under the Formal and Informal Sectors, premium payment of at least nine months within the past 12 months prior to availment, to be eligible in availing of benefits.
Philhealth Regional Office is located at Valgo-
sons Bldg., Bolton Extension, Davao City.
