Independen­ce Day job, biz fairs by Dole

SOUTH COTABATO - At least 4,481 total employment vacancies await job seekers all over Region 12 as the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) conducts the 2018 Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fairs in celebratio­n of the Independen­ce Day on June 12, 2018, at KCC Mall of Gensan.

Dole Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano said, at least 82 employers, 52 local and 30 overseas employers will join in the job fair.

Topping the list of occupation­s job seekers can apply to include the following:

for local employment: service crew, 640; AFP/ PNP, 500; production worker, 150; household attendant, 150; bagger, 120; production worker, 100; stockman, 70; operations coordinato­r, 60; and staff nurse, 50.

For overseas employment, the list of vacancies includes 550 for the domestic helper and 350 for production worker.

In a press conference conducted earlier, Cano assured these employers are in good standing and are compliant with the Dole's employment standards.

He added interested applicants can bring pertinent documents during the job fair as some of these employers will hire on the spot.

This year’s June 12 Independen­ce Day TNK Job Fair will be conducted in cooperatio­n with other line agencies who will also conduct simultaneo­us activities in support of the program.

The Department of Trade and Industry, for instance, will conduct Diskuwento Caravan, facilitate Negosyo Center and Super Consumer Info Deskfat.

The Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority will showcase the different skills coming from its graduates. There will be free massage, manicure, pedicure, haircut, among others.

In a briefer, other lineup activities for the day include the release of the P10 million Livelihood Assistance checks to the province of South Cotabato, North Cotabato, Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat.

There will also be business fairs, Dole clinic and one-stop-shop for preemploym­ent documentat­ion services. Hydee Templonuev­o/SCPIO
