Phoenix Petroleum launches fund raising for PH’s 1st Olympic gold campaign
THIS Independence Day, Phoenix Petroleum is reigniting the Filipino spirit of patriotism and nationalism by bringing into the spotlight the country’s next generation heroes— the Filipino athletes.
In support of the country’s mission to clinch its first Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Phoenix Petroleum has pledged to match every liter of Phoenix Pulse Technology-blended fuel purchased by motorists at any Phoenix fuel stations nationwide with a 25-centavo donation starting June 12, 2018 up to August 12, 2018.
“Phoenix Petroleum has always been an active supporter of Filipino athletes since we started. As a proudly homegrown brand, we want to start and lead an inspiring campaign to support our nation’s athletes, fuel Pinoy pride, and encourage other companies to do the same,” Phoenix Petroleum Chief Operating Officer Henry Albert Fadullon said.
Proceeds of the “Buhayin Ang Laban Para Sa Ginto” campaign will be donated to Siklab Atleta Pilipinas Sports Foundation, Inc., a private nonprofit organization whose main mission is to rally organizations and fund our top-flight athletes’ quest for an Olympic gold medal.
Through Siklab Atleta, select Filipino athletes will be provided with coaching, training equipment and facilities, exposure to international competitions, and other assistance.
“Just like how Phoenix Petroleum rose to become the leading independent oil company in the country, I believe our athletes can also compete and even win against Olympics powerhouse countries,” said Phoenix Petroleum President and CEO Dennis Uy, who is also at the helm of Siklab Atleta.
He added, “This time, more than the Filipinos’ passion, will, and innate talent for sports, we need the dedicated support, resources, and cooperation among government, private companies, and individuals to achieve our aspiration. We encourage everyone to join us in this advocacy and show the world how far our bayanihan can bring us.”
