Davao Sur's No. 7, Occidental's No. 9

TWO in the top ten most wanted lists of two provinces here were arrested in separate occasions in the past two days.

Personnel of the Malalag Municipal Police Station arrested on Tuesday the No. 7 most wanted person in Malalag town, Davao del Sur province.

The suspect was identified by police as John (name withheld for being a minor), 17, a laborer and resident of the same barangay.

John is facing charges for violation of the Republic 8355, otherwise known as The Anti-Rape Law. He was arrested at a village in Padada town in Davao del Sur on June 12, Tuesday.

Police arrested the suspect following an arrest warrant issued by Judge Carmelita SarnoDavin, of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 19 in Digos City dated October 13, 2017.

The suspect is currently detained at the Malalag Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, the No. 9 most wanted among drug personalit­ies in Davao Occidental is fac-

ing charges before the prosecutio­n office for selling illegal drugs in Jose Abad Santos town.

Charged for violation of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is Jimmy Mansur, 40, a resident of the same town.

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (Pdea) Davao Region accompanie­d the suspect at prosecutio­n office on Wednesday morning for inquest proceeding­s.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were a kilo of suspected Cannabis sativa L, locally known as marijuana worth P10,000 and 10 grams suspected shabu worth P68,000.

In a report obtained from Pdea-Davao showed that the suspect was arrested in a drugbust operation at around 2:10 p.m. in Barangay Balangunan, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
