-

A YOUNG man is facing charges before the City Prosecution Office in Davao after he took a picture of a man talking to a boy then posted it on his Facebook with an offensive caption.

Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 10627, otherwise known as The Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, is a certain Jason (name withheld), 19, a college student, of Barangay Sasa, Buhangin.

Report obtained from the Sta. Ana Police Station showed that the incident took place in front of an educational institution along Jacinto Street in Barangay 29-C in Davao City at around 9:45 a.m.

Police arrested the suspect following the complaint of the man who is currently working in a private company nearby. According to the complainant, the post of the suspect went viral.

Jason, on the other hand, asked forgiveness from the complainant. He said he has no bad intentions against the complainant. He added that he was just really bored.

“Wala gyod nako gituyo. Wala man pod ko kabalo

kung unsa ilang giistoryahan, basta nag-caption lang ko unsa akong pagtuo which is, mali diay, sorry. Delete na ang post (I did not mean any harm. I did not know what they were talking about. I just posted it with a caption, which was offensive. I am sorry. I deleted the post),” Jason said.

Police did not detain the suspect, as they will still have to wait for the arrest warrant which will be served by the Cyber Crime Unit of the Davao City Police Office (CCU-DCPO) against Jason.
