THE Davao Digital Influencers (DDI), Davao’s only digital influencers group registered to the Security and Exchange Commission, laid out plans for 2018-2019 that seeks to create an impact in local communities.

“The organization seeks to extend the skills and knowledge of its members to the different sectors of the community from the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to the marginalized sector,” Verna Luga, DDI President, said during the organization’s planning and team building at the Eden Nature Park and Resort on June 3, 2018.

She said among the programs that the organization seeks to do for 2018-2019 is on education for communities in far flung areas in Davao city.

“We want to develop education-related programs for kids that will allow them to experience certain things that they are not able to experience through digital media,” Luga said.

She added that the organization will continue to support local MSMEs through social media, blog, and vlog posts of DDI members.

As for the organization, DDI seeks to push for the improvement of its members as it promotes personal development and being a responsible digital influencer.

Luga also extended DDI’s gratitude to its partners, Eden Nature Park and Resort and Ecotrans Car Rentals, for making the DDI planning and team building possible.

Founded in 2016, DDI has over 70 members composed of vloggers, bloggers, and social media influencers based in Davao City. The members cover a range of topics from food to travel to fashion, among others.
