Chinese city builds Davao City Park
DAVAO City Park, which will showcase the icons and culture of the city, is being constructed in Nanning City, China and is expected to be completed before the year ends.
Davao City Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag said yesterday during the Pulong Pulong ni Pulong that the city has been in a good relationship with Nanning, thus, the latter is building the Davao City Park to honor that good relationship.
The construction of the park was funded by Nanning City but the design of the park came from the Davao City Engineer's Office and the Davao City Planning Development Office featuring the icons of the city such as the durian and the Philippine Eagle.
“Ito po ang pinaka- magandang impact ng whatever relationship that we do and after we build the relationship, we build trust sa isa’t-isa. Our main objective here is to help the local government and to make sure that these
programs will be really felt by the people to improve the lives of the people because of our good relationship by the local government,” Al-ag said.
Once the project is completed, the local government of Nanning will invite the city government officials to their city to grace the inauguration of the Davao City Park.
The Davao City and Nanning are sister cities for 10 years. The sisterhood was signed by then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. JCR on Tuesday.
Saraum said he has been thought by his grandfather and father, who were former Philippine National Police members, to work not only with a good brain but also with a heart that does the right thing.
"Hindi po ako sinanay na gumasta ng pera na hindi ko pinaghirapan. I cannot afford na madungisan yung pangalan ko dahil lang din sa pera. The way I see it, kailangan nang may-ari ng pera, kaya naman nagmamadali siya," Saraum said.
Saraum came from the church before he went to the bank to withdraw cash. Saraum just want to return the money to the owner without expecting any in return.
As a member of the PNP and one with President Rodrigo Duterte's campaign against corruption, illegal drugs and criminalities, Saraum vowed to do his best in the service. He said there is no reason to be slack in his job. ICT
