A TOTAL of 91 teams vied for honors in the Felcris Centrale 3-on-3 Street Jam that opened at the Alfresco Area of Felcris Centrale in Davao City yesterday.

Entries are entered in mini, jayvees, juniors and open divisions.

Felcris Centrale marketing and leasing officer Gelyn Artuque, during the opening ceremonies, said, "I just want to quote our president (Clark Lawton Yap), that this Felcris Centrale Season 2 3-on-3 Street Jam is something bigger and better. Why bigger? kasi po nalampasan natin yung numbers ng last year na teams. Better than last year because of the newly-reconstructed Alfresco Area is ready to serve even rain or shine and better because mas maraming mini and jayvees teams ang sumali ngayon," Artuque said.

She also said that this year's edition also attracted sponsors who pledged to distribute a lot of freebies and giveaways during the two-day event.

"We are happy kasi po na push din po yung Season 2 despite daghan ta (our many) competitors. Gusto namo matatak sa tanan nga si Felcris naay pangalan and will be the next a must-go destination sa Davao City (We want that Felcris will be the next must-go destination here)," she said.

Sports Development Division-City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO) officerin-charge Michael Denton Aportadera lauded the organizing committee and encouraged the athletes, saying, "Take this game seriously for this is the time you get to gauge your capacity as basketball players on how well-trained you are, how disciplined you are and how good you are already in the field of basketball. This is not about who is taller than you and who's bigger than you. Always remember what's more important is that you are sharing and playing the same court like the rest of the players."

The single roundrobin eliminations began yesterday. The semifinals and championship round, however, will be staged today along with the much-awaited media, celebrities and digital influencers division.

Sun.Star Davao shares the same bracket with M.O.R. 101.1 Budskee, Love Radio, Brigada News FM, I.FM 93.5 while Mindanao Times, Team Kapamilya, Barangay FM 103.5, Super Radio and SDD-CMO are in another group.
