BY GILFORD A. DOQUILA / Reporter Junior Chamber International ( JCI) is set to stage the JuaNegosyante program in Davao City as they search for innovative business ideas across Mindanao.

The Mindanao Leg, which will be be staged on September 15, 2018, will be spearheaded by JCI Manila in partnership with JCI Davaoena Daba-daba, JCI Davao Inc, and JCI Greater Davao.

Rolan Garcia, commissioner of JuaNegosyante, said the project aims to look for entrepreneurs with interesting businesses to join in the program in order to mentor the development and potential of these local businesses into the bigger market.

“We are here looking for the best business pitches in Davao together with different business partners and with one academe here in the city,” Garcia said during Kapehan sa Dabaw on Monday, August 13, 2018 at SM City Davao.

Garcia added the JuaNegosyante program is touring around the Philippines from July to November 2018 to find, fund, incubate, and mentor top business ideas and entreprenuers.

“We came up with the JuaNegosyante program because we need more entrepreneurs in the Philippines and we believe that the majority of the country’s problems will be solved by entrepreneurs. Innovators, creators, and thought leaders in the arena of entrepreneurship are at the forefront of leading the country to achieve a first world Philippines,” Garcia said.

The JuaNegosyante program is also in cooperation with Project VII, a Filipino grassroots company for entrepreneurship development in the Philippines, and Montgomery Fitch + Associates.

Garcia said the top three business pitches from Davao will be joining the final round of the business pitch in Manila. The finalists will be competing with other contestants from other regions in the country.
