Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral cast entertain Dabawenyos

To join the Dabawenyos with the Kadayawan Festival fever, Goyo lead star Paulo Avelino serenaded his fans last Thursday, August 16 at SM City Davao. The fans screamed and shrieked as Paulo went from one side of the stage to another shaking the hands of the fans and taking selfies with them.

Also joining him were his co-stars in the film “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” Arron Villaflor, Empress Shuck, and Gwen Zamora. The three of them gamely danced to the song of Drake’s In My Feelings together with the fans who enjoyed dancing with their idols so much.

However, as they enjoyed very much the warm welcome of the Dabawenyos, the casts were in Davao City to promote their upcoming movie which will be showing nationwide on September 5.From the TBA Studios, the producers of the hit-movie Heneral Luna, Goyo is also expected to give a glimpse of our history telling the story of Gregorio del Pilar, the youngest general during the Philippine-American War and who died in the Battle of Tirad Pass. The movie, directed by Jerrold Tarog, is a sequel to Heneral Luna.

During the mall tour, Paulo said fans will expect a lot from the movie as it will not only entertain them but will bring them a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country’s precious history.

The film also stars Carlo Aquino, Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Alvin Anson, and Rafa Suguion-Reyna.
