Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the recent statements of Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison were “irrational.”

She likewise questioned whether it was Sison himself who is running his Facebook page or some “caretaker” or administrator who manages it.

“His recent Facebook posts about the dying PRD (President Rodrigo Duterte) is not rational and napaisip ako kung siya ba ang nagpost or baka caretaker lang ni Joma,” the Presidential daughter said in a statement.

She added, “My guess is, at the rate that he or his caretaker is unraveling, he will soon say PRD is not human but an alien in the form of Rodrigo Duterte.” Earlier, Sison said in a statement that there was an unverified report

circulating that Duterte-Carpio and other key cabinet officials have formed a caretaker committee to run the government while Duterte is battling his illness.

The city mayor also recalled his encounter with the communist leader.

“Some years ago, Joma Sison sent me chocolates and a note. It was a surprise because I did not think he knew me then, nevertheless, the message was rational and pleasant,” she added.

Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy said Sison is already irrelevant to the country and he is not someone people should listen to.

“Where does he live? Does he live here? I don’t even know why people still follow this guy,” Badoy said after Sison issued a statement that President Rodrigo Duterte has gone into coma.

“That is why he is not even relevant anymore, more so when he says stuffs like this that have no basis,” Badoy said, adding that she also have friends on the left that she respects but it is a mystery to her as to why people still believe Sison.

She also said Sison is someone who did not even contribute anything to the country.

“Para sa akin, ang pinakawalang-modong mga tao is yung mga hindi na nakatira dito, wala pamg ginagawa o kino-contribute,” Badoy said.

Meanwhile, Badoy said that she was with the President early Sunday morning and he is still very strong.

“The truth is, we are the ones in PCOO na sumusunod sa kanya ang napapagod kasi napakasipag ng Pangulo natin,” she said. /
