Through the high demand for the use of technology as a medium for developing businesses, the International Communications and Technology (ICT)Davao will conduct the 2018 LivEx and Innovation Summit on October 19 to 23, 2018 at Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City.

“We are doing this in order to give avenue for our business entrepreneurs to come and show the brilliance of their technological innovations,” ICT-Davao president attorney Samuel Matunog said during Kapehan sa Dabaw on Monday, August 20, 2018 at SM City Davao.

Matunog added though the event features businesses, the innovation summit will only showcase businesses which are already serving clients, and not start-ups.

“The event will be divided into four parts. One day lang na siya, pero naay mga pre-events ug post events for our sponsors and exhibitors (It is only one day but there will be pre-events and post events for our sponsors and exhibitors). Meaning these are specialized events only for them,” Matunog said.

The technological summit will focus on business innovations which use technology for their social enterprise.

“Another part is about e-health and even e-payments which will be a highlight in the summit,” Matunog said.

He added public sector digital innovations will also be discussed in the summit.

“In this part, we will observe for two hours where people can interact with innovators directly. This is not like typical conferences where there are speakers and participants only sit and listen,” Matunog said.

Matunog cited one of the innovators is from BIMP-Eaga who founded a farming app which helps the farm owner from supply production to marketing.

The pre-event will start on Friday, October 19 and another on Saturday, October 20.

Matunog also added guests from BIMP-EAGA will also be toured in the city on October 21.

“People can interact with innovators directly. This is not like typical conferences where there are speakers and participants only sit and listen” Atty. Samuel Matunog, ICT Davao President
