MANGOSONG WINS PRO-OPEN EVENT

Dabawenyo rider outclasses his rivals in the toughest division of the first Motortrade National Motocross Cup 2018

Davao City pride Bornok Mangosong of Team Yamaha UniOil stole the spotlight of the recently-concluded 1st Motortrade National Motocross Cup 2018 held at the MotoXFarm in Barangay Langub, Davao City.

Mangosong, aboard a Yamaha YZ250F, raced past his rivals to rule the pro-open division over motorcross veteran Glenn Aguilar and Ralph Ramento of Manila and Jesse Pineda of Tagum City.

Mangosong, on his Facebook post, expressed his elation in winnning the title in front of his fellow Dabawenyos.

“I want to thank my sponsors, family and friends who supported me especially to the fans here in Davao City, thank you for making this day special,” Mangosong said, also thanking MotoXDavao for the invitation.

Mitchellin Rivera of General Santos City, meanwhile, ruled the expert open, outclassin­g father and son Glen and Mclin Aguilar, and Ramento who grabbed the next three spots.

Jorlan Bandigan (executive “B”), Bunny Remulta (trail boyz), Susie Ann Magarang (ladies class), Jesse Pineda (intermedia­te open), Francese Borita (beginners class), Jovy Saulog (executive “A”), Dodong Bandigan (novice open), Jeven Lagrada (enduro open), Edgen Labajo (pantra open), Charlie Pascua (super mini), Jan Botochokoy (peewee65) and Red Flores (peewee50) also topped their respective divisions.

The event was organized in celebratio­n of the 33rd Kadayawan Festival and Motortrade Mindanao’s anniversar­y.
