There was never a dull moment when members of the Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) high school class of '84 gathered in a two-day homecoming reunion at Punta de Gloria Resort in the Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos) on August 11.

After 34 years, everyone was looking forward to share the sun, the sea and the memories. Laughter and fun rolled all through the night. True to form when old friends gather, creative juices also flow, coining the word: "kampire", a combination of bonfire and "kampay" from the Japanese word "kanpai" meaning "cheers."

Several batchmates travelled across the seas to grace the event, some bringing their families to join the merrymaking. It was not all fun and laughter though. Members of the group also donated school supplies and electric fans to Tambo Elementary School in barangay Tambo, Igacos.

In partnership with the Addu Blue Knight Alumni Association, Department of Health and Unilab Inc., medical and legal advice services were also conducted to grateful residents in the area. One of the Jesuits' core values is to be men and women for others. Truly, the Blue Knights Class '84 outdid themselves with this year's theme: "Persons with compassionate minds and intelligent hearts". Batch 84 would like to thank Ali Andion for the photos.
