THE BIG COMEBACK OF THE FACE OF RDL

This year, after 23 years of bringing high-quality beauty products to Filipinos, RDL Pharmaceut­icals Inc. once again has Angelika dela Cruz as its product ambassador, the official “face of RDL” even during the earlier years of the company.

Twenty-three years ago, RDL Pharmaceut­ical Inc. started a very humble company. Two years after it was establishe­d, actress Angelika Dela Cruz, endorsed its products and was hailed as the “face of RDL”.

Last September 12, 2018, RDL held a press conference for the comeback of Angelika at the D’Leonor Hotel while highlighti­ng the three major products – the Astringent­s, Facial Cleansers, and the Whitening Soap.

“Nagpapasal­amat ako sa pagbabalik ko sa pamilya ng RDL. Lagi ko nga po sinasabi na mula noon, hanggang ngayon, alagang RDL parin po ako,” Angelika said.

Angelika has always been the face of RDL and her comeback also emphasized the com- panies’ acknowledg­ment to the consumers who have remained loyal to the products of RDL through the years.

Like Angelika, those who trusted the company’s products are evidently still youthful and glowing today as promised. Hence, the Executive Vice President for Operations of RDL, Mercedita D. Lim, during the event said that it was the main reason why they also survived the ever-changing trends –its effectivit­y in bringing out youthful look to its consumers.

“Tumatagal ang product it is because effective siya,” Lim explained, adding that affordabil­ity is also one key factor.

Lim said that it is important for the company to leave the legacy from generation to generation just as how it thrived until today.

“Gusto ko talaga na yung RDL, yung legacy niya ay ma-handle through generation­s as it started with my mom, and then kami,” Lim said.

Meanwhile, RDL Sales and Marketing Manager Anthony John Modequillo announced that there will be new products to launch next year and said that it has been carefully tested and developed for it to be worth the wait.

The millennial­s have been using the products too because the company also understand the importance of coping with digitizati­on through indulging in the social media platforms such as Facebook.

RDL products have received several awards such as the National Product Quality Excellence Awards, Consumer Choice Awards, National Shoppers Choice Awards, National Consumers Quality Awards, Most Outstandin­g Skin Care Products, National Achievemen­ts Excellence Awards, among others.

Presently, RDL products are actively distribute­d in other countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Kuwait, Nigeria, Ghana, Qatar, Bhutan, Africa, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Jeddah, Nepal and Thailand.

The company was not solely active in growing the business but also in helping the underprivi­leged as part of their commitment and corporate social responsibi­lity, through charity foundation and scholarshi­p grants.

For the last 23 years, RDL has been serving the people locally and internatio­nally with high quality, safe and innovative skin care products.
