-

The Top 5 drug personality in the watch list of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (Pdea) 11 was killed after he allegedly resisted arrest while two others were arrested during an entrapment operation at Purok 4-A, Bermudez Plains, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City on Tuesday.

Based on the report, the slain suspect was identified as Alvin Caluban Deocampo, 50 years old, married, jobless, resident of the same place.

Initially, operatives conducted a buy-bust operation wherein they were able to purchase one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu from Deocampo. But he tried to elude arrest and fired at the arresting officers who were forced to fight back.

After the gunfight, the suspect was rushed to Davao Regional Medical Center but succumbed to gunshot wound. They have also recovered two sachets of suspected shabu from his garments.

The joint elements also arrested newly-identified drug personalities: Joel Dabin Pandoro, 44, married, laborer, of Purok 4-A, Biatiles St., Bermudez Plains, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City; and Felyflor Polangko Tan, 41, married, habal-habal driver, of Purok 4, Barangay Anibongan, Maco Comval Province, during their pot session.

Authorities seized one small black canister that contained two sachets of suspected shabu from Pandoro while one big sachet of suspected shabu was recovered from Tan.

Several drug paraphernalia were found at the pot session area, including one rolled aluminum tooter, two pieces aluminum strips, one blue disposable lighter, one green disposable lighter attached with aluminum needle and one roll aluminum foil and the buy-bust money of P1,000.

Also recovered at the area were one unit caliber .38 revolver loaded with five rounds of live ammunition and one fired cartridge case and two fired cartridge cases believed to be coming from .9mm caliber pistol.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 regional director Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales warned again the individuals who are into drug trade to stop their illegal deeds.

"I am giving drug peddlers a fair warning to mend their ways or face the long arms of the law. PRO 11 will not rest until all those involved in illegal drugs trade will be put behind bars,” Morales said. /
