Taiwanese businessmen looking for local business partners in a bid to invest in Mindanao

Taiwanese investors and businessmen are set to introduce Taiwanese farming and food technologies to local agribusiness players during the upcoming Taiwan Trade Investment Delegation Meeting on October 19, 2018 at Apo View Hotel, Davao City.

Mindanao Business Council (MBC) executive director Rolando A. Torres said the Taiwanese delegate hope to introduce their technology to the farmers in a bid to foster development among them.

“Taiwan is known for their compact and efficient designs. They can deliver the same output but the machines are relatively smaller and easy to handle,” Torres said on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 during a media forum at Habi at Kape, Abreeza Mall, Davao City.

He said Taiwanese agricultural and food technologies are easy to ship due to its design.

“Through acquiring these equipment at a cheaper rate, and increase the productivity of our farmers, we believe there is also a good opportunity to increase our export products,” Torres said.

Among the Taiwanese products which will be introduced during the investment meeting are can-making machines, zirconia micro oxygen analyzer (SH-204-WE), agricultural packing machine, and sides sealing bag liquid, and powder packing machine.

Meanwhile, investors attending the meeting are into cosmetic products, electronic and hardware, agriculture and industrial machinery, and organic edible products.

“They (Taiwanese delegates) are exploring potential partners from among the business community here in Davao city,” Torres said.
