BETTINA CARLOS HOMESCHOOLS DAUGHTER

-

For Bettina Carlos, homeschooling seems to be the perfect fit for her daughter Gummy.

The GMA-7 actress/host explained why she decided against enrolling her daughter in a regular school.

“I want more time with her and I want more intentional time to mold her, to shape her values.

“And really more time to be together kasi, like yung eight hours in school, we can finish it in four hours in a day.

“And so we have more time to spend with each other talaga,” she told PEP.ph in an exclusive interview last Thursday, October 25. We caught up with Bettina at Watson’s Look Good Feel Great Holiday event in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

LIKE DAUGHTER, LIKE MOM

With more time together, the 30-year-old celebrity mom said her daughter is becoming her mini-me.

“She’s becoming very entrepreneurial. She’s really trying to do something, create something, and then sell it.

“Whether it’s a drawing or a piece of a no-bake treat, she’s getting into that.”

She added, “Kids naman talaga, every thing they know or they’re interested in, it’s not because you teach it to them.

“It’s because they see it in you, so I think that’s [the reason].”

Bettina said Gummy has shown interest for cooking since she was two years old.

She recalled, “She would like make her pretend cooking shows. She’s very articulate, e.

“She verbalizes what she’s doing, she annotates. So maliit pa lang siya, she’s really into food.”

Does she see her daughter following her interest in the food industry?

“I would pray for that. Siyempre, like everything that a parent invest in now, they really want their children to benefit from.

“But if it’s not what God wants her to be, if it’s not in the food industry, by all means, it’s fine with me also.” PEP.PH
