GINEBRA SAN MIGUEL'S TEAM BUILDING AT THE ISLAND BUENAVISTA

Avacation fit for kings. The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, the most popular basketball team in the country with the most die-hard fans, recently conducted their team building this year at The Island Buenavista, a 4-hectare exclusive island resort located in Barangay Balet, Island Garden City of Samal.

Blue skies, sapphire ocean waters and sweet privacy greeted the basketball players - Mark Caguioa, LA Tenorio, Jeff Chan, Scottie Thompson, Aljon Mariano, Kevin Ferrer, Prince Caperal, Sol Mercado, Joe Devance, Jap Aaguilar, Greg Slaughter, Raymond Aguilar, Jervy Cruz, Arth Dela Cruz, Julian Sargent, Teytey Teodoro.

The team, together with Coach Earl Timothy Cone, and Assistant Coaches Richard del Rosario, Olsen Racela, Freddie Abuda and Kirk Collier took a little break from their busy schedule and had a nice team building activities for three days and two nights.

Everyone participat­ed in the activities which featured outdoor adventures available at the island resort designed to complement the wonders of nature, a home to bountiful picturesqu­e landscapes, and a host of recreation­al activities to suit any travel agenda.

The morning and afternoon kayak excursion was not missed. They played beach volleyball and hang-out while the sun sets. Table tennis and chess were also played while

soaking in the views of the endless horizon.

The guests experience­d a carefree island lifestyle and a dose of vitamin sea. They experience­d island-hopping and donned a snorkeling gear for a glimpse of the abundant marine life in the island.

The delectable menu of island-inspired cuisine complement­s the al fresco dinner “under the stars” experience.

A special dinner by the beach was prepared for the team that culminated with amazing fire dance spectacle.

Coach Tim Cone said, “I was shocked by the abundance and quality of the food throughout the day. The service was truly first-class! I’m impressed.”
