Leni, Trillanes deny Bikoy allegations
Peter Joemel Advincula, the man claiming to be “Bikoy,” alleged on Thursday, May 23, in a press conference, that the series of “Ang Totoong Narco-list” videos were scripted and orchestrated by the Liberal Party and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
With this Vice President Leni Robredo, in a separate press conference, said she has never met Advincula.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin dito na hindi ko siya kilala—never ko siyang nakausap, never ko siyang naka-text, never ko siyang... never na nagkaroon ng communication between us. In fact, first time ko siyang nakita noong nag-presscon siya sa IBP,” she said.
(I just want to say that I don’t know him. I have never talked to him, never exchanged text messages with him. There has never been a communication between us. In fact, I saw him for the first time only when he held a presscon at the IBP.)
(These accusations against me are not true, I am ready to face him in any forum. I am ready to face any investigation because I feel secure about the truth.)
Meanwhile, Senator
Meanwhile, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, in a statement, said, “I deny the allegations made by this Bikoy character. This could be another ploy of the administration to harass the opposition.”
“For now, I will be consulting with my lawyers so that we could also file the appropriate charges against him,” he added.
Advincula, who was accompanied by his mother and brother, said he was bothered by his conscience.
Among the personalities that “Bikoy” implicated in the illegal drugs operations through the videos were presidential son Paolo, his brotherin-law Maneses Carpio and Go.
Advincula earlier sought legal assistance from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) but the latter rejected his request.
