AFP BESTOWS HONOR TO MAYOR
Tagum City – Two military awards have been conferred to Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon in a ceremony held last August 1, 2019 at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
The Military Merit Award (MMM) and the Civil Military Operation Badge were presented to the local chief executive by no less than MGEN Bienvenido R. Datuin, Jr., AFP, the commander of Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP). The awards were given to Rellon to recognize his meritorious and valuable contribution in support to the overall accomplishments of the mission of the Civil Relations Services (CRS) as well as his possession of virtues that are inherent in every CRS warrior: relevant, objective, adept, responsive, committed and service-oriented. Mayor Rellon, who has the rank of lieutenant colonel, is the Acting Brigade Commander of the 2201st Ready Reserve Brigade as well as the Acting Battalion Commander of the 1102nd Davao del Norte Ready Reserve Battalion under the AFP’s Philippine Army.

During the meeting, Masongsong raised the need for the barangays, offices, establishments, and schools to conduct the anti-dengue campaign by cleaning their surroundings. The meeting was presided by Governor Douglas Cagas attended by other provincial officials.PHO also conducted measures by giving free Rapid Dengue Test Kits to the municipalities of the province.The Department of Health also provided 45 boxes of insecticides to all municipalities and Digos City. Health officials recommended the use of soaking mosquito nets in larvicide and wearing clothes with long sleeves and long pants as protection from the dengue virus-carrying mosquitoes.OBD
