City targets to complete 1st round of relief goods distributi­on on April 8

DAYS after the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) took effect at 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, the Davao City government has yet to finish the first round of the distributi­on of relief goods in some barangays in the city.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the city government is projecting to finish the first round on Wednesday, April 8.

According to the data from the City Social Welfare and Developmen­t Office (CSWDO) as of April 5, Duterte-Carpio said the city has released a total of 184,784 grocery packs in some barangays in the city for the past two weeks.

She said they target to distribute an estimated 350,000 grocery packs during the first round.

On April 6, the city government distribute­d the goods in the following areas: Baliok, Catalunan Pequeño, Matina Aplaya, Bago Gallera, Bago Aplaya, Dumoy, Callawa, Indangan, Waan, Manduga, Tigatto, Buhangin, Atan-awe, Bangkas, Baracatan, Bato, Bayabas, Binugao, Catigan, Crossing Bayabas, Daliao, Dakuan Plantation, Eden, Lubogan, Marapanbgi, Sibulan, Sirawan, Tagluno, Tagurano, Toril Proper and Tungkalan.

Meanwhile, the city is set to finish the distributi­on in the following dates and areas.

On April 7, the city will distribute in barangays 3-A, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, 31 32, 34, 35, 36 38, 39, 40, Catalunan Grande, Matina Pangi, Panialum, Paquibato, Mabuhay, Lumiad, Pandaitan, Fatima Sumimao, Paradise Embak, Malabog, Mapula, Tapak, Salapawan, Ilang, Bunawan, Panacan, Matina Biao, Angalan, Biao Escuela, Balengaeng, Tagakpan, Manuel Guianga, Talandang, New Carmen, New Valencia, Ula, and Biao Guianga./For
