Dole-Davao, PNP partner to create workers’ groups
MALITA, Davao Occidental – The Department of Labor and Employment in Davao Region (Dole-Davao) conducted a workshop on Managing People’s Organization for police officers in Barangay Kidapalong recently.
In coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 11 – Davao Occidental Provincial Office, personnel from DoleDavao Occidental discussed community organizing and Registration of Workers Association (RWA) requirements to 45 police officers who will be assigned in different barangays within Davao Occidental.
The activity forms part of PNP’s Pulis sa Barangay mission and intervention to ensure that government services will reach geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (Gidas).

Ofelia B. Domingo said, “this is one good strategy for us to reach our geographically disadvantaged workers in the region. We are grateful for our partner agencies like the PNP for including RWA in their community intervention.”
Dole-Davao Occidental Provincial Head Arce D. Sinajon also expressed his appreciation to PNP’s efforts to assist the far-flung areas in organizing or reactivating existing associations.
In his message, DavOcc Police Lieutenant Colonel Resty O. Valmores emphasized the importance of community organizing as part of their intervention.
He also extended his gratitude to Dole for responding to their request and looks forward to more future collaborations with Dole. /
