-

THE first San Isidro District Schools Press Conference was successfully held at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex Gymnasium and Bulwagan ng Karanungan Hall on Monday, January 22. The district collaborated with the Provincial Information, Communication, and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO) to make that activity happen.

The first Press Conference was held for campus journalists in San Isidro to hone their skills in News Writing, Feature Writing, SciTech writing, Column Writing, Photojournalism, Editorial Cartooning, Editorial Writing, Sports Writing, Copyreading and Headline Writing, Radio Broadcasting , and TV Broadcasting. Experienced and well-known journalists from Davao del Norte gave lectures to the students and chose who will be the best of the district in the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference.

According to the students, they were very happy because they learned a lot from their participation in the lectures and the competition. They also said that since they are from far away in San Isidro, this is the first time they have been able to use the facilities of the PTV studio such as its recording booth, which will be of great help in their preparation for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference. Along with their coaches, they also thanked Governor Edwin “Kuya Gov” Jubahib for the constant support for the opportunities that will improve their skills.

Through the District Schools Press Conference and Training for campus journalists in San Isidro, the support and efforts of Kuya Gov and the provincial government of Davao del Norte will continue to improve the opportunities of the youth in journalism. /
