- /PR

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on February 24, 2024, Saturday, affecting customers in the southwest part of Davao City. These disruptions are necessary to conduct pole relocation from Tugbok Central Elementary School to Angalan Bridge.

The switching power interruption will be for one hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another one hour from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers from the Davao Light Tugbok Substation to Tugbok Barangay Hall and nearby areas.

Additionally, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:01 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the same day, February 24, Saturday. Specifically affected are customers from Tugbok Central Elementary School to Angalan Bridge and nearby areas as well as those in the crossing quarry Angalan going to Angalan Barangay Hall, Manambulan, Tagakpan, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
