Service disruption­s on March 2 in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interrupti­ons on March 2, 2024, Saturday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte. These disruption­s are necessary to conduct upgrading works at the Bunawan-Don Ramon 138kV line and Panabo Substation.

The switching power interrupti­on will be for 2 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substation­s. Meanwhile, the normalizat­ion or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Specifical­ly affected are customers from Buhisan Tibungco to the entire Bunawan in Davao City, and Panabo, San Vicente, Carmen, Tadeco, and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte, and nearby areas.

Another switching power interrupti­on will be conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substation­s. Specifical­ly affected are customers from Buhangin, Panacan, and Tibungco areas in Davao City.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenie­nce brought about by these scheduled power interrupti­ons. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoratio­n may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidabl­e circumstan­ces.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precaution­s when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenanc­e are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
