‘GIFT OF LOVE’
Magdum Nat’l HS receives donated computer, digital equipment from GSIS
LOVE language takes many forms. For the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), it is to support education.
Capping off the month of love, GSIS turned over to Magdum National High School (MNHS) on February 29 a muchsought multimedia package to bolster the school’s endeavor of capitalizing on modern technology for a better teaching and learning experience.
The multimedia package, which includes three desktop computers, an interactive digital board, and accompanying peripherals such as a projector and a smart television, was personally turned over by GSIS Central Office Representative Leslie Anne Fangonil with GSIS Tagum Branch Manager Oscar Fortuna.
The donation was received by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Alona C. Uy and Assistant SDS Neil Michael A. De Asis, together with the school head of MNHS, Felannie Caasi.
In her speech during the ceremonial turnover, SDS Uy described the donation not just as a technological gift but also as an expression of care, a gift of love intended to enhance the learning environment of Magdum NHS.
She then urged the school and its stakeholders to embrace and leverage the modern equipment to aid students in becoming future-ready individuals.
Likewise, the school head expressed great excitement about the many instances they can use and incorporate the technology into the instructions and overall school operation of MNHS due to its interactive and immersive features.
She also conveyed her gratitude to GSIS for accommodating her request and for bringing a breath of fresh air to the school, underscoring that GSIS really provides “ginhawa” to its stakeholders.
The ceremonial turnover was witnessed and supported by the MNHS faculty, students and stakeholders, GSIS representatives, and Division Office key officers, namely Ricardo Remoreras, Public Schools District Supervisor, Ariane Aime Abatayo, Division IT Officer, and Anwar Maadel, Division Partnership Focal.
