STAKEHOLDERS’ SUPPORT TRANSFORMS ALS CLC

-

IN A remarkable journey of perseverance and collaboration, the Community Learning Center (CLC) of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) of Baganga North District has been transformed from a makeshift structure into a new concrete building worth P1 million provided by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baganga.

This significant achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and leadership of key individuals and the strong support from the community and government leadership.

Under the guidance of Mayor Pepot Lara and the initiative of Barangay Lambajon led by Paulo B. Serra, alongside the invaluable support of the Education Program Committee chaired by Arnel Donga and Rey Sobrecary, the ALS program has flourished.

Their vision and commitment to empowering out-of-school youth and adults in Barangay Lambajon have been instrumental in realizing this milestone.

The journey began with a humble request in 2018 when the District Resolution sought to establish a CLC in Barangay Lambajon. However, due to unforeseen challenges, including the onset of the global pandemic, the project faced delays.

Nevertheless, with perseverance and determination, the community rallied together, and under the new administration, the project received the necessary funding used for the building construction.

The late Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Raymunda Apostol and current OIC-PSDS Cherlisita Batao played pivotal roles in guiding the ALS program through its various stages of development.

Their leadership and dedication have been remarkable, inspiring countless individuals to pursue education and personal growth.

The new building now stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the residents of Barangay Lambajon. It symbolizes a physical structure and a promise of a brighter future for generations to come.

The LGU’s investment in education underscores its commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and providing equitable access to learning opportunities.

As the ALS program of Baganga North District continues to thrive within its new home, it reminds everyone that there’s so much to be achieved through collaboration, perseverance, and unwavering determination.

The journey from a temporary CLC to this concrete building is a testament to the power of community-driven initiatives and government support in creating positive change and transforming lives. /
