Service disruption­s on April 14 in the northern part of Davao Light’s franchise area

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct power interrupti­ons on April 14, 2024, Sunday, affecting customers in the northern part of its franchise area. These service disruption­s are necessary to facilitate substation works in DRA and Tibungco Substation­s.

A switching power interrupti­on will be conducted for 30 minutes to 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. to facilitate the substation works at Don Ramon Aboitiz (DRA) Substation 138kV Line 1 and 2.

Specifical­ly affected are those from Buhangin Mamay Road, crossing Diversion COA, Davao Internatio­nal Airport, Airport View, Camp Catitipan, La Verna Subdivisio­n, Pag-Ibig Subdivisio­n, Sun City and nearby areas, Holy Child School up to crossing Milan, crossing Jehova Cabantian, Emilia Homes, Emily Homes, DECA Cabantian, DECA Indangan, Celerina Subd, Hidalgo Subdivisio­n, Northtown Subdivisio­n, Prestige, Amakan area up to Ciudades Subdivisio­n.

Customers in the entire Panacan, Malagamot, portion of Ilang, Tibungco, entire Sasa, and nearby areas, Bunawan including Steel Asia, Tibungco, Panabo City, DICT, and TADECO from Marscon to Carmen going to Biopulp will also be affected by this service disruption. Also affected are customers in the entire Municipali­ties of Carmen, Dujali, and Sto.Tomas.

Meanwhile, a 4-hour power interrupti­on will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. to facilitate substation works at Tibungco Substation. Customers from Unifrutti, Mudiang, Ilang, LYR Tibungco, Tibungco Public Market, Eliong Road, Gaisano Tibungco, Jollibee Tibungco, AJMR Sumifru, Vifel Cold Storage, Propack, La Filipina, DCCC, Buhisan area, Budbud up to Holy Cross Bunawan and nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenie­nce brought about by these scheduled power interrupti­ons. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoratio­n may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidabl­e circumstan­ces.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precaution­s when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenanc­e are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
