CHANCE TO CHANGE: CAMARADERIE FOR THE REAL VICTORY

-

JESSA ARA M. MORALES

President Rodrigo Duterte stated that he will now back the Paris Agreement on Climate Change after a near – unanimous approval by his Cabinet and he will be signing the historic pact last November 7, 2016.

We can remember that back then, our President was not really convinced with his agreement because of some matters.

The Philippines has now pledge to cut by 70 % of its carbon emissions by 2030 a target conditional on assistance from the international community, as stated on the agreement . The Philippines is a tropical country at the South East Asia which is rich in natural resources and that is why there are numerous beautiful places across the country like the Metro Manila … BEFORE .

Manila was once the “dream come true “of many of us because of its attractive spots to people like the Manila Bay, Luneta Park and of course, it is the center of trades where there are lots of opportunity to work and to study.

However, the realistic fantasy turn into a monster that it toxicates its people through water and air pollution and the worst? People put each other’s life at risk. On the other hand, we could still do something in order to solve of these. Observe discipline. This trait is the most important thing to have because if we possess this, all good things follow like we will not do things that are not as good. As for instance, we will not harm other people even the Mother Nature.

Show Respect. Another character of goodness that everybody should possess because if we respect others, there is a great chance that they will respect us too, as well as the environment. It gives us most of our necessities and we should learn to appreciate that.

Give Love. Love is one of the essential needs of a human and by our nature. Maybe, it sounds simple but it may mean a lot to them .

Those three steps might be little things to have and to give but no wonder that they could change everything.

Manila is just a ‘dot’on our globe but we could start here for a better world. Give yourself a chance to Change!
