LUBAO— Kapampangans based in the United States are scheduled to hold a medical and dental mission at the M. Pineda Sports Complex here on Thursday, February 16.

The Aguman Capampangan NW USA (ACNU) will bring a team of medical and dental professionals to provide free services to residents here from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Local power distributor, Pampanga II Electric Cooperative (Pelco 2) has rescheduled its power interruption slated on that day to give way for the mission, a biennial project of ACMU.

ACNU president Mina Guinto-Tahayeri said the medical and dental mission is chaired by Ernie Turla, Semion Mamaril, Akbar Tahayeri and Ben Agamat.

Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, for her part, expressed gratitude to ACNU for choosing Lubao as their venue for the mission. She said the project will benefit residents coming from the marginalized sector.

“This project is very close to our hearts because our Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’Pineda is giving focus to health services. Our local government units here in Pampanga are also following suit to this advocacy and assistance from our fellow Kapampangans from abroad is very much welcome,” the mayor said.

The project, according to ACNU, is in coordination with the office of Pampanga Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Governor Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and the municipal government of Lubao.

“On behalf of the Aguman Capampangan NW USA, we thank you for your support and also for giving us the opportunity to be of service to the residents of Lubao, Pampanga this coming February 16, 2017,” GuintoTahayeri said in her Facebook post.
