Leila Alcasid says that Regine Velasquez is a generous stepmother
Leila Alcasid is all praises to stepmother Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
Leila, 19, is the eldest daughter of Ogie Alcasid to former Miss Australia Michelle Van Eimeren.
Currently, Leila is in the Philippines and lives with his father Ogie, stepmother Regine and step brother Nate. “We’re very close. She’s a very generous person, very understanding person.”
Because Michelle lives in Australia, now that Leila is in the philippines she admits that Regine is acting like her mom.
“Especially when I was first coming here, she [Regine] knew that I would obviously be missing my mom a lot, ‘coz my mom and I are like best friends. So, she’s become obviously like a mother figure to me since I’ve been here. She’s helping me grow in this stage in my life and I love her very much. Very wonderful person.”
In February, 2017 Regine’s fans got mad at leila when they called the former PA (personal assistant), which was posted in the social media.
However, Regine defended her stepdaughter saying that it was a private joke.
Leila flew in the country in January and expected to stay till next year.
She just finished her acting workshop. “I really like acting. It’s weird for me because I would have never thought of it before back in Australia. I was not into arts in that kind of way. It was surprising for me, but then I came here, took workshops and stuff and I really love it.”
In the meantime, Michelle arrived in manila last week with her younger daughter Sarah. Ogie posted their pictures in his Instagram account. Before the week ends, Michelle is going back to Australia with Sarah.
