‘Soulitude’

-

Search within your heart and find your perfect peace. Walking in solitude, turning off the buzzing noisiness of the external world like the cellphone, and moving away from nonsensical radio blare, I realize ‘soulitude’.

Understanding my inner self and unlocking my secret, sacred and silent soul, I am in awe.

Unfolding the depths of my soul, unrelenting search for truth, unearthing my interior being uplifts me. This is journey. Guiding me to step on the pathway of discernment, I hear these words.

‘Malu, the eternal truths are simple.’

‘LOVE… LIGHT… LEARNING. Hold them, honor their message, humbly accept their beauty.

‘LOVE… LIGHT… LEARNING’ My soul- bare, open and simple. Unfettered from the upheaval and uproar of the earth, freed from the struggling highs and lows of sentiments, ultimately, I know in my heart the ancient wisdom.

Discovering my quiet essence, yes , I affirm my inner self. My soul defies the expiry date of my material body.

I will die. I will perish but my soul lives on. My soul is in perfect peace now!

Mystic Yeah, what an insight!

Presently, flowing in the water of calmness, composure and compassion, let us take a deep breath. Inhale, exhale. Peace. Exhale, inhale. Love. May I now hold your hand as we enter the gate of learning. Come and let us reflect on the good works of this mystic.

I first met him during the lecture of a favorite guru of mine-Benedictine sister Sr. Mary John Mananzan. Stating her belief in his teachings, she focused our attention on his words. His name is MEISTER ECKHART. Living in circa 126— 1327, known as a Dominican theologian and Rhineland mystic, he became a Master of Sacred Theology at Parish in 1302. MEISTER ECKHART inspires my soulhood. Spreading the good news , he imparts this principle. ‘Foundation of the soul’is an uncreated spark. The soul is the seat of the divine life and where our limited but essential resemblance to God is unraveled.

His words translated from German (JAH SERMON 5b, p.79) are:

‘People often say to me: Pray for me! Then I think : why do you look outside of yourself? Why don’t you remain within yourselves and draw from your own sense of goodness? You carry all truth essentially within yourself’

FI NALE Who can touch the soul? How can I harvest my soul’s gifts? How will I soar forever on the wings of ‘SOULI TUDE’?
