DA celebrates end of Women’s Month with women’s programs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— The Department of Agricultur­e (DA) Central Luzon marked the end of the celebratio­n of the Women’s Month this March with dances an aerobic exercise yesterday.

With a theme “We Make Change Work for Women”, it aims to promote the equality of women based on the implementa­tion of R.A. 9710 of 2009 or the Magna Carta of Women of the Philippine Constituti­on.

DA RFO III has successful­ly undertaken the different activities scheduled within a month. This includes the kick-off aerobic dance on February 27, reading inspiratio­nal quotes for women every Monday of March, gathering representa­tives of each agency at GSIS Manila with the theme “We make change: Women inspiring Women Series” and providing lectures for wellness- breast and cervical cancer.

Each was given P350-worth of protective clothing and head gear and enrolled for insurance coverage with the Government Service Insurance System in the amount of P50 covering the entire duration of their work program.
