Whatever Lolo wants, Lolo gets

Lolo is the grandfather of Stonefish and the President of the Philippines. Indeed, whatever PDU30 wants PDU30 gets. He wants to change the present form of our government, so let there be Federalism! Amen. He wants to do away with the barangay election, so let there be appointed barangay officials all over the country, Amen. Oh, what a mighty President we have!

But wait. What PDU30 wants, need amendment of laws. That’s precisely the point I’m driving at.

He needs the help of Congress and the Pilipino people. And for all we know, he can dictate the majority of the congressmen to do what he wants to be done. If he says the honorable gentle lady from Pampanga will oversee the establishment of Federalism, then so be it. If he says the DILG personnel will appoint the barangay officials, then so be it.

Better yet if not worse yet, if he asks the electorates to ratify what Congress had enacted, then most of us will do so without thinking, Amen.

Didn’t he declare war on drugs and PNP General Bato (no relation to Stonefish) led killing more than a thousand people? Didn’t he ask to silence Senator De Lima and she got jailed? That’s how powerful the birthday boy of last Tuesday is!

Obviously, only impeachment could legally prevent the president from doing his thing, but who is there to impeach him, Tejano and Trillanes? There is no way for the congressman and senator to convince their fellow legislators to follow them in impeaching the popular President.

Even then, however, although PDU30 may not be impeached, he can be assassinated.

Yes, he can be killed like the jailed Albuera town mayor, but who will volunteer to be the assassin?

For sure, no one will. Not even those who are not afraid to die, will, for these brave and heroic people don’t want to be around when death takes place.
