HAU-School of Education holds first research colloquium
The
Holy Angel University (HAU) School of Education recently held a lecture forum and its first research colloquium for the graduate and undergraduate students at the PGN Auditorium.
Resource speaker Dr. Runvi V. Manguerra delivered a talk regarding leadership and management. He also gave two important updates on the changes regarding the Teacher Education curriculum and the renewal of teaching licenses. Afterwards, he entertained questions and concerns from the audience members.
Dr. Runvi V. Manguerra is the present Executive Director of the Teacher Education Council of the Department of Education. He was also a part time instructor in the Graduate School of Education.
Moreover, the research colloquium highlighted the nominated researches for best thesis. Four undergraduate theses were chosen to be presented.
These includes “Level of Awareness and Involvement of Selected Child Protection Committee Members in the Implementation of DepEd order No. 40 series 2012: Inputs for a Proposed Action Plan”, “Systematic Review on the Improvement in MTBMLE of the Selected Schools in the Philippines: Implications to HFA Grade School K – 12 Program”, “Ang Antas ng Kasanayan sa Pag-unawa sa Paghasa ng mga Mag-aaral sa Ika-7 Baitang: Batayan sa Pagbuo ng Kagamitang Pampagturo”, and “The Perception of Interpersonal Peace among Selected Grade 10 Students: Basis for a Proposed Peace Integration Framework in Christian Living Education”.
Meanwhile, three graduate students’theses were nominated including the works of Jonel A. Velasquez, Liezel C. Garung, and Rina Lyn B. Tolentino.
The research colloquium was held for the first time in the School of Education with the following objectives: to showcase the best theses from the undergraduate and graduate students in the 1st semester of 2016-2017, to expose the students in the field of research, and to encourage and motivate the students to make research a way of life in the School of Education.
