Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Chairperson lawyer Terry Ridon said this is also a way to encourage the leaders to cooperate with them to identify what programs and services are needed.

For his part, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago said the local government ensures to bring all its services to the urban poor and continues to support them towards further development.

“Ang gobyerno ay laging nakaalalay upang tulungan kayo, hinding hindi ko hahayaan at hinding hindi mainam na ang mga mahihirap ay maiiwan sa pag-unlad ng syudad,” Santiago said.

Meanwhile, the Miranda Compound of Homeowners Inc. of San Miguel presented a Memorandum of Agreement to the members of the Pinagisang Magkakapit-bahay ng Miranda Compound allowing them to build houses in a certain 80 square meters land in the said compound.— CSF-CIO
