A MANAGERIAL REFLECTION

“Everyone has an invisible bucket. We are at our best when our buckets are overflowing. Everyone has an invisible dipper. In each interaction, we can use our dipper either to fill or to dip from others’buckets. Whenever we choose to fill others’buckets, we in turn fill our own.”(Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton, Ph.D)

In the school, my bucket should always be overflowing to give a positive outlook and renewed energy to the teachers, learners, parents and the community people. I must use my dipper in filling others bucket to help them increase their positive emotions like those teachers who have anxieties, those learners who kept on striving but still hopeless, those parents who have problem child and the community people who have the eagerness to help but don’t know how to start. Filling one’s bucket is a way of motivating others to be more productive than they used to be. It is instilling in them how we trust them in carrying out the duties… that they can MAKE it.

Every drop in that bucket makes us stronger and optimistic. But if we are faced with challenges, it’s like someone is using his dipper to empty our buckets. In this case, we should not let others lessen our buckets by showing them how capable we are in our endeavor and how pure is our desire in doing our mission.

As a leader, take a look at the bucket as it is always full because it will influence our relationships, productivity, health and happiness.

Community plays a vital role in the education system. The people inside the community where the school is, serve as the stronghold of every educational institution. The success of the learners depends on the school, but the latter’s depends on the people living on that community. Yes, it is true that a learner’s success is somehow being affected by his own doings and decisions, but these decisions deeds have something todo with what’s happening around him.

According to the recent Netlife Survey of the American teacher, teachers, parents and learners all agree that parent engagement in school has increased over the past 25 years. Given the role that family engagement plays in not only academic success but life success. –Edutopia.

No community can stand alone without education. The two might be inseparable, but the one which is more dependent is the community. Educational Institutions cannot exist without learners it can be deteriorated but has nothing to lose. However, a society what education is a complete wreck. Thus, people in a certain community may they be parents or students, has to take care of the educational institutions built just for them.

Let us be responsible with the institutions which were constructed for our own benefit. The future of the land where our feet rested is in our hands cliché as it may sound, but yes education is indeed the road towards success.
