Thus said Vice-Mayor Jimmy Lazatin who spoke before investors, businessmen and stakeholders of this capital city during the recent recognition of top taxpayers here.

Lazatin stressed that the business sector here have become the city government’s partners on good governance and plays a significant role in the delivery of efficient public service to Fernandinos.

He said that their punctual and honest payment of taxes and some donations helped in the implementation of the city government’s developmental and social programs and projects.

In return, Lazatin said the Sangguniang Panlungsod here is committed to creating policies and ordinances not only for the benefit of Fernandinos, but for the convenience of investors and businessmen.

He cited all the policies and ordinances that were passed by the City Council, including the amendment of the business incentive code which aims to strengthen ties between the city government and current investors and invite prospective businessmen to the city.
