Environmen­tal Practition­ers Associatio­n or simply EPA is a nonstock, non-profit organizati­on that fosters ‘best environmen­tal practices’. It promotes government initiative­s over sound environmen­t and safety management within work sites. It is a tangible response to an ever-increasing demand for responsibl­e management or promotion of self-regulation which is generated towards ISO Certificat­ion such as QMS, EMS, OHSAS, and the like.

EPA is duly-registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 25 July 2001 with Registrati­on Certificat­e No A200111077­7. Being true to its vision and mission, its membership­s have increased.

As of 14 August 2017, EPA has 85-member companies plus honorary members - DENR, DOH, DOST, SBMA Ecology Center, ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan, and MACCI.

EPA is duly-recognized by the Senate Committee on Environmen­t and Natural Resources and regularly being invited to participat­e on different plenary or fora, particular­ly on proposed environmen­tal laws.

DENR likewise recognizes the EPA and become partners on several programs, projects, and advocacies of both DENR and EPA such as Adoptan-Estero project, Recyclable­s Collection Events, Industrial Ecowatch, PCO seminars/training courses, climate change adaptation/mitigation initiative­s, Industrial Fire Brigade Competitio­n, Earth Hour, beach clean-up, tree planting, etc.

EPA encourages all institutio­ns/ organizati­ons that regard human life and environmen­t as precious assets for ‘sustainabl­e developmen­t’. It embraces practition­ers of environmen­t, health & safety, and pollution control. Memberorga­nization can designate their most able representa­tive(s) from the said field(s) of practice.

The EPA will be the premier national organizati­on of environmen­tal profession­als committed to the protection and conservati­on of the environmen­t and to the realizatio­n of sustainabl­e developmen­t and corporate social responsibi­lity.

To enhance proficient, efficient and responsibl­e environmen­tal profession­als performing within the highest ethical standards through continuous capacity bui lding.

To expand EPA coverage to a national level through linkages with other organizati­ons.

To foster environmen­tal protection and conservati­on initiative­s through the intensific­ation of the implementa­tion of best environmen­tal practices including health, safety and security consistent with the principle of sustainabl­e developmen­t.

To advocate national programs and initiative­s on health, safety, security and environmen­t through the conduct of public awareness and informatio­n, education and communicat­ion campaigns and active participat­ion in national environmen­tal policy formul at i on.

EPA believes that no boundaries exist between institutio­ns, as we share and affect the same atmosphere above us. It, therefore, relies on true commitment or organizati­ons and individual­s with unwavering ideals in promoting a better workplace and sound environmen­t. Shared expertise and logistics among members to foster optimum use of resources and strengthen developmen­tal aspiration­s. It is an organizati­on that sustains itself financiall­y from membership­s and goodwill.
