JOB ENRICHMENT PROGRAM IN THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Job enrichment program typically involve students and teachers. It helps students to train as future workers and increase their knowledge and skills in the different courses in Techvoc. It provides a greater on the job challenges to students. Also they learn computer operations, time management and working in team. The objectives of the job enrichment program are as follows; • To expand and enhance the students learning through planned work experience in an actual setting. • To help students make the transition from theories to actual practice. • To increase student’s awareness and appreciati­on of the relevance of basic, common and core competenci­es in the different courses in Techvoc. • To provide the students with opportunit­ies for potential career and occupation­al course. In school students learn basic trade theories and work values that will make them highly competitiv­e and wanted in the labor market.

The primary purpose of the job enrichment program is to provide the learners with the actual setting of the work place, that will help them become a productive member of he society in the near future. It also develop the talents of students in the aspects of the field of work.

Throughout the world today, there is a heavy dependence on technology-based skilled workman and technician­s for the operation of machine or equipment in the shop and factories. Also assist in the interpreta­tion of plans and procedures in computatio­n of measuremen­ts in house planning. An analysis of this work may indicate that effectiven­ess of the planning can result to a better preparatio­n of the plan.

Current social and economic problems change the school more and more with the responsibi­lity of providing education and training program for the utilizatio­n of human resources for productive activity. The school helps in training the nation manpower in order to accelerate industrial­ization. Success is possible when the school provides quality teachers and facilities and follow a relevant education curriculum that meets the requiremen­t of industry.
