The Foundation, headed by its Chairman and President, Dr. Ireneo G. Alvaro, was established not to amass wealth for its founder and members but to create a niche for services in the communities it is situated in.
Aside from its other objectives, the BBI gives full four-year college scholarships to deserving students coming from the marginalized sect o r.
According to the press release, the foundation's goal is "to act as the bridge and bring about change in the lives of the needy in poverty-stricken areas through its social services, entrepreneurial empowerment, including disaster management programs".
