Sharon Cuneta, Robin Padilla to star in new movie

M EGASTAR Sharon Cuneta has con firmed that she will be doing a romantic comedy movie with action star Robin Padilla.

During the press conference of her independen­t film "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha" on Monday, September 4, Cuneta shared that they will start shooting for the new film by the end of the month.

Cuneta added the movie will feature a different story from the initial project she was supposed to do with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion.

She said her comeback movie with Star Cinema is going to be an exciting one.

"I cannot wait because Robin is really my favorite person to work with. He's like my twin, kaya ang tawagan namin, kambal. We are very much alike. My happiest shooting experience­s have always been with Robin," Cuneta said.

The two Kapamilya stars last worked together in 2001 movie "Pagdating ng Panahon" and also topbilled 1991 box-office hit "Maging Sino Ka Man" and "Di Na Natuto".

Cuneta said that aside from Padilla, she is looking forward to working again with director Cathy Garcia-Molina, who was assistant director in "Madrasta," Cuneta's previous movie.

She also said that she has seen a number of Molina's hit movies.

"I'm a big fan of Direk Cathy. She was my Assistant Director in 'Madrasta' and 'Minsan Minahal Kita'. I'm very excited to work with her," the actress ended.

Meanwhile, Cuneta's latest and first independen­t movie "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha" will have its commercial run starting September 6 in theaters nationwide.
