REFLECTION ON EDUCATION

-

ERICKA F. SAN PEDRO

It is a matter for every businessman, worker and employee, Whether or not Pampanga will have a rise in economy; For when Manila cannot contain all odds and loses its integrity, The country shall distribute the economic priority.

Clark Green City was planned to be constructed, Not only has the Clark International Airport and its connecting transportation been retrofitted, But also premium point-to-point buses and Uber rides were added to easily get you transported. With discounted airfares and other perks, what else should be expected?

A renovation will be made in PASUDECO’s former location, A place of which a city had lost its translation, Yet developers have found an urban-to-rural transition, One of which is the construction of a central business district, an economic rise validation.

With this reconfiguration, I hope for the application of excellent planning. Reflecting the efficiency and functionality needed by the community, But also in management and enforcement, in laws and in traffic, For drainage and urban planning are the essential problems of the province.

What happens to our education? The success of the educational system depends to a great extent on effectiveness and efficiency of teachers, principals, parents, pupils and other stakeholders. Being a teacher in elementary is a big responsibility in the life of the learners and in community. Teachers need to act now, not tomorrow to make difference in each learner who will be… the hope of our country. This means educators not only need to model service and caring but also need to remake organization into places that will encourage service and caring by all people in the classroom, school and community.

In my refection, there is an assurance of having better educational system if all in school will work hand in hand as servant educators. If the school both in private and public be administered and supervised on a democratic basis, honest, humane, and based on ethics/values, better educational system is possible.

Many scenarios in private and more so, in public setting of the teachers, principals, administrators and school leaders wherein, they do not commit harm in their duties and responsibilities but consistently fail to do good in educating the youth. Some questions come to my mind… What happen to our education? How if all teachers and administrators do something good in their little way to their school? How if all individual will contribute small goodness in the school or in community?

I would say, there is a need of a comprehensive review, revisit and revision of our curriculum for developing servant millennial learners and educators for the improvement of the educational system of tomorrow. With these reflections, I come up with a goal to serve and be a servant teacher, not only in my words but also in all my dealings and in my everyday teaching. I will be sensitive to the needs of my learners and with honesty… I will make a difference in my own little way in our school. I will serve and contribute goodness to my school and to my country.
