MABALACAT CITY— Mayor Crisostomo Garbo yesterday asked his barangay chairmen to provide the “best services” to their constituents particularly the less-fortunate ones.

Garbo relayed his message to the barangay leaders during the Local Development Council Meeting at the Barangay Hall of Dau yesterday.

The mayor stressed that the tax payers deserve quality services from the local government.

“The people specially the less-fortunate ones should feel that there is a government caring for them and providing for their needs,” Garbo said.

During the council meeting, the mayor also announced approval of the LDC projects for 2017 which include the procurement of barangay vehicles, construction of roads and canals, and other priority projects.

Garbo assured the barangay chairmen that the LDC projects for 2017 will be realized this October.

“Hopefully by the end of this month the bidding process will be finished. And we will be starting it by October including the procurement of all garbage and service vehicles,” Garbo said.

The local chief executive also assured the village chairmen that he will not allow the delay in the implementation of the LDC projects.

“I want the funding to be maximized. I don’t want any delay. We will implement the projects the way you presented them to us,” Garbo told the barangay chairmen.

The mayor also announced the procurement of barangay service vehicles which will be used mainly in transporting patients to hospitals.
