Sambo to banner PH in Malaysia Rainforest Challenge 2017
STO. TOMAS - Offroad enthusiast and Sto. Tomas Mayor Johnny Sambo of this town will represent the country in the pr est i gi ous Rainforest Challenge (RFC) 2017 in Malaysia.
Sambo will join Team Philippines which will fly to Malaysia in November after winning in the RFC Philippines 2017 held in Pampanga on August 25 to 28.
The four-day trial held in Porac town and Mabalacat City, and in Capas, Tarlac was a multi-discipline off-road competition to select a pool of local off-roaders to represent the Philippines in RFC Malaysia on November 2017.
Sambo, together with the Pampanga Adventure Team, will be considered as touring adventurer when they compete in Rainforest Challenge Malaysia 2017. As a touring adventurer, Sambo will observe the full competition and jungle conditions together with Rainforest Challenge Team Philippines, headed by Larry Mendi ol a.
Despite being a firsttimer in the international competition, Sambo vowed to exert his best effort to win the top seed in the RFC Malaysia 2017.
“It is very fulfilling to represent my beloved country in one of the top ten best motor sports event in the world. I hope I can bring honor to the Philippines,” Sambo said.
He also asked the support and prayers of his fellow Filipinos as they compete with different nations on November 25 to December 5.
