CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— A total of 2,200 job vacancies were opened to hundreds of job seekers during the San Fernando City Job Fair 2017 spearheaded by the Local Government of San Fernando through its City Employment Services Division in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and SM City Pampanga held on September 22 at the said mall.

More than 500 applicants flocked to the job fair where 43 companies comprised of 37 local and six overseas employers participated.

City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Donny Sayre said that this will be the third job fair of the city for this year.

In his speech, Mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago encouraged all unemployed individuals to come and participate in the city job fair and look for brighter opportunities that will fit their skills and improve their quality of life.

The city mayor also ensured that the city government will always support and help Fernandinos in creating livelihood opportunities, since it is one of the administration’s priority.

Also present during the job fair were DOLE Pampanga Chief Arlene Tolentino and SM City Pampanga Assistant Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni. — CSF-CIO
