Instagram launches live face filters

If you’re the type to want to have fun with the filters that adds effects on top of your regular snaps on Snapchat, Instagram brings live face filters on Instagram Live.

The filters apply either before you hit the go live button or during the stream with options that include animal ears, various types of crowns, together with a pilot getup as well as nerdy glasses.

Instagram will also include a 'during live only option' to add sunglasses filter which then allows users to tap on the glasses to change what scenery is reflected of the shades.

This interactive version of a live face filter will come as a first generation of options for Instagram as they make more creative options to choose from in the near future.

The same feature has been available in Facebook live for some time now as well as the options to those video calling through the Facebook Messenger app. It was about time that Instagram updated their live feature with the option specially for those wacky types.

There are no words yet on what future options Instagram has in store specially the styles and types of filters we have been enjoying in other apps.

Those that already have the update can simply just tap on the face icon that will appear on the bottom right of the screen to indicate that you have face filter options to choose from.

The update has yet to reach Philippine shores so do watch out for that. It is estimated that the new update will be available for Filipino users for about a week or so from now.
