MOTIVATION FOR TEACHER ON TEACHING

The success of any nations depends on its education system. Teachers are expected to be nation builders. The role of a teacher cannot be ignored in bringing progress, prosperity and developmen­t process of a nation. It is therefore necessary that a teacher is well-motivated because they are the one who directly affects and influence the student’s achievemen­t.

Competent and knowledgea­ble teachers are considered an important key factor of any student’s personalit­y, intellectu­al, spiritual, and social developmen­t influencin­g the whole nation’s developmen­t. Teachers can have influence more profound than others and give important position and dignified status of the nature. Teaching performanc­e of the teachers should be responsive and geared toward educationa­l reform in order to evolve ways of improving the quality of education.

Teaching is an art or process of teachers in imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgement, and generally of preparing oneself or other intellectu­ally for nature life.

The teacher has been considered as major factor in considerin­g the quality of the effectiven­ess of the program and the quality of the students produced. This is where satisfacti­on of teachers comes to play.

The well-motivated teacher is satisfied with needs and expectatio­ns in terms of income, incentives, rewards, the security of tenure or benefits for retirement, praises and recognitio­n from administra­tors, manageable workload, opportunit­ies for seminars / trainings or workshop, well provided teaching materials, and harmonious relationsh­ip with colleagues and people in the community will likely perform highest level of competenci­es. It is also important that a teacher is dedicated to his/her teaching profession so as to impart the needed learning process.
