Kris Aquino: ‘Herbert Bautista cancelled our wedding’
Pasabog ang mga naging pahayag ni Kris Aquino tungkol sa kanila ni Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista sa interbyu sa kanya ng People Asia Magazine kung saan siya ang solong cover para sa December 2017 to January 2018 issue.
“Herbert Bautista cancelled our wedding,” simula ng rebelasyon ni Kris.
Ang naturang pangyayari raw ang itinuturing niyang isa sa lowest moments ng kanyang buhay.
“One of the lowest moments of my life. I still remember the date, April 8, 2014, inatrasan ako sa kasal ni Herbert. Over the phone. I was in Bellevue Hotel in Alabang because we were celebrating the (advance) seventh birthday of Bimbi. It did not hit me at first because we were having a party,” pag-amin ni Kris.
Idinagdag din ng Social Media Queen na nag-propose ng kasal sa kanya si Herbert a month before he cancelled the wedding pero ayaw na niyang idetalye ang dahilan ng pag-atras ng Quezon City mayor.
Noong January 22, 2017 ay muli raw nagpropose ng wedding si Bistek kay Kris. Binigyan daw siya nito ng D-color, heart-shaped diamond ring na one carat habang sila ay nasa Rom e.
Tanda pa raw niya ang sinabi noon ni Herbert, “Ang tagal kong utang ito sa ‘yo. So, puwede bang makabawi ngayon? Ayon pa sa kuwento ni Kris, tinanggap niya ang singsing.
Kaya lang, the following day ay ibinalik niya kay Herbert ang singsing.
“I returned it the next day because I said that we will always have responsibilities that came before he and I meet. And as long as our children are not done yet with their studies, I don’t think we have the freedom to be able to choose happiness.
“I returned the ring not because gusto kong iparamdam sa kanya kung anong pinaramdam niya sa akin three years before that. It was because nagising na ko. I just realized that a person like him and a person like me can’t be together because (my mom said this already) in a home there can only be one star. And I think, a union like that would require me to no longer be me. And I still want to be me,” paliwanag niya.
Patuloy ni Kris, “I admire him so much because he was willing to be the knight in shining armor and he came back when I was already nobody. He came back when I had no network, I had no power, we had no base. Dun ako humanga sa kanya.”
Hindi naman masabi ni Kris kung ilang taon tumagal ang kanilang relasyon ni Mayor Bistek.
“We don’t even have a relationship at all. I don’t count it anymore because it was always nauudlot. I told him, ‘Tayo yung perfect na what-could-have-been so let’s just leave it there.’I really appreciated it that he came back to my life when I was a nobody,” pagbabahagi pa ni Kris.
